Clay Burgess is adept in handling complicated legal cases such as those related to wrongful death, personal injury, admiralty, and employment. He has significant motion and appellate experience against large companies. He is licensed to practice in Texas and Louisiana as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, he is also given the right to practice in the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of Louisiana and Southern District of Texas.
Formerly, he was a member of the Board of Governors for the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. Clay is also a reputable member of the State Bar of Louisiana, the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Lafayette Bar Association.
He attended college at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. After doing Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in 1991, he attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. In the Louisiana State University Flory Trial Competition held in the year 1993-1994, Clay was a semi-finalist and went on to receive his Juris Doctor in 1994.
